Amsterdam

Beautiful canals, buzzing neighborhoods, rich culture and history: what’s not to love about Amsterdam?

Amsterdam is a city that positively rings. There’s the ringing of historic church bells, the ringing of angry cyclists and the ringing of trams trundling their way across the city. Amsterdam's three most famous canals even ring around the city center, and it's here that you can see everything from Dam Square and the Anne Frank House to the shops of the Kalverstraat and the Red Light District.

But however tempting it might seem to remain within the beautiful, canal-lined center of Amsterdam, the city really comes to life on the other side of the many bridges that take you out of the center and into one of its many lively neighborhoods. The likes of the Jordaan, the Pijp and the Museum District feature markets, bars and cafes, loads of restaurants, quirky cinemas, world famous museums including the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum, and everything else in-between.
