How do I sign up?

Go to www.trvl.com and click “Sign up.” You can sign up with your Facebook, Google, or LinkedIn account, or with your email and password. Signing up is quick and painless.

Do I qualify to sign up?

Yes, if you are 18 years or older, you do. You must also abide by our terms and conditions.

Is TRVL really free?

A TRVL account is free. There are no sign-up fees, no subscription fees, no booking fees, and no administration fees as a TRVL member. A free membership gives you access to all of TRVL’s inventory.

How do I recommend a hotel to somebody?

Begin by searching for the traveler’s destination, dates, and party size. Browse through the hotels until you find a hotel that you would like to recommend. Then click the "Share" button and share via email, Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, or by copying and pasting the link. You can add a personal note to each recommendation. If a hotel is booked through the link you provided, you will receive commission for that booking. Simple as that!

How can I add hotels to my favorites?

You can save your favorite hotels for each destination by clicking the heart icon on the hotel picture in the search results, or you can click the “Favorite” button on the top right of the hotel page. This will save the hotel in your “Favorites” so it is easier to find in the future. You can also view all of your favorite hotels in your profile.

Once my commission payout is ready, how do I receive it?

Go to the "Commission" page and add your bank details if you haven't already. You will see your confirmed bookings under "Available commission." Bookings are usually confirmed about 30 days after checkout. Once confirmed, the commission for these bookings is ready and available to be paid out. Request your payout using the "Cash out balance" button and choose your payout account. Once you've done this, you will see the estimated date that you can expect to see the money in your bank account.

What currencies are supported by TransferWise?

Currently we support commission payouts in 34 currencies. We've listed the currencies available through TransferWise here.

What do I do if my currency isn’t offered when I try to add my bank details?

If your currency isn't listed, choose USD from the list when adding your bank account. Then, tick the box "My account currency is not USD" and fill in your information. Don't worry, you will still receive the money in your own currency. If you have any questions, email [email protected].

When will I receive my commission in my account?

You should receive the money in your account about 2-3 business days after you have requested your payout.

How does TRVL make money?

Our booking service providers pay a commission on every booking. TRVL takes a small cut and passes on the lion’s share to you.

What happens to my commission if a booking is changed or canceled?

If a booking is canceled, you will not receive a commission. If a booking is changed, your commission will change accordingly.

Who is responsible for the booking and the payment?

The person booking the hotel should handle the payment. Payments are handled directly by our suppliers: Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia, or Priceline (includes Agoda and TRVL Insider). The payment methods currently accepted are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, BC Card, Diners Club International, JCB, and Discover (the payment method accepted varies by supplier and will be displayed on the checkout page). We are constantly working with our suppliers to make additional payment methods possible in the future.

How do I know if a booking is confirmed?

You will receive a confirmation email with the details of your booking shortly after booking your hotel. This will be sent to the email address that you entered on the checkout page.

If you think you have made a booking but haven’t received a confirmation email, check your spam/junk folder. If you can’t find the email, contact the supplier that you booked the hotel through. Please visit the Support page for the appropriate numbers. If the supplier can’t locate your booking, contact us at [email protected].

How do I get started with my homepage?

To customize your homepage, go to Edit homepage. Here, you can add info about yourself, photos, favorite hotels, and favorite destinations. Choose a header image that says something about you and your site. Choose a homepage address where visitors can find your site. Give your website a title and a catchy heading. Use the bio section as a place to tell visitors about yourself, your expertise, and your travel experience. Try to differentiate yourself and share why visitors should book with you. You could also talk about your specific travel niche (if you’ve chosen one). The bio is your opportunity to show others what you can offer and to convince them to book with you.

Next, add your favorite destinations and favorite hotels. These destinations are the places you are most passionate about and want to help others visit. Add your favorite hotels that you would recommend to others so that they are easily accessible and quick to book. The last step is to set your homepage visibility to “Public” once you have completed your homepage and are ready to show it to the world. Remember that you must also complete your Account (profile photo, name, hometown) before you can set your account to public.

How do I earn commission from my website?

All bookings made through your website are credited to you. If someone visits your homepage and books one of you favorite hotels, you receive commission. You also receive commission if someone visits your homepage and then uses the search box on your homepage to find and book a hotel. Any bookings made through your URL are credited to you! You can see these in the “Bookings” section at the bottom of your dashboard.

Why isn’t my homepage showing when I go to my homepage address?

If your homepage is set to private, you will be redirected to trvl.com when you visit your homepage address. Private mode is helpful for those who are still working on their homepages or who need to make changes to their homepages. The default homepage visibility setting is private.

To set your page to public, go to Edit homepage and change the “Homepage visibility” at the bottom of the page to “Public” and click save. If you haven’t completed your account or your homepage, you will see a message at the bottom of the page telling you what needs to be completed in order to be able to set your page to “Public.” Once in public mode, anyone who visits your homepage address will see your homepage.

Does TRVL offer flights?

We currently don’t offer flights. At the moment, our focus is in-destination products such as hotels. Activities and car rentals will be added soon, with flights on our long-term roadmap.

What are TRVL Insider deals?

Once you make your first booking as a TRVL member, you will automatically be upgraded to TRVL Insider. This type of account has special benefits: you gain access to TRVL Insider deals, in addition to the rest of TRVL’s inventory. TRVL Insider deals are available exclusively to those who are TRVL Insiders. These rates offer discounts up to 65% off industry rates. They are non-refundable and cannot be canceled. The room type is generally a standard double room, but the room type will be allocated by the hotel at check-in. However, this can sometimes result in an upgrade if the hotel has availability. Requests for bed types or other requests should be requested through your confirmed hotel and cannot be guaranteed.

How can I change or cancel my booking?

Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia, and Priceline (including Agoda and Insider) handle customer service directly, providing dedicated, 24/7 customer service for TRVL clients. For Booking.com, you can use the self-service tool provided in your confirmation email to change or cancel your booking. For Hotels.com & Expedia you can make cancellations using the self-service tool in the confirmation email. For Priceline (including Agoda), you can cancel your booking using the self-service tool provided in the confirmation email. If you need to call one of the suppliers, please see our Support page for the appropriate customer service number to contact.

Why can’t I share Insider deals?

TRVL Insider deals are only available to TRVL members who have are Insiders. In order to be able to offer these great rates, we can only offer them to TRVL Insiders. For this reason, it’s not possible to share these rates.
