Hello Financial District / TriBeCa
Downtown Manhattan is the financial center of both New York and the world. The confident, caffeine-fueled energy with which the Financial District buzzes is infectious, and wandering through the neighborhood amidst a sea of suits, briefcases, and cups of takeaway coffee will leave you marveling at the sheer pace of it all. However, there is a lot more to the Financial District than Wall Street and the world of finance. Lower Manhattan is the gateway to explore Liberty Island and Ellis Island, as well as Governors Island; you can enjoy stunning views of the Manhattan skyline from here. Just north of the Financial District is TriBeCa, which, with excellent restaurants, laid-back cafes and great bars for after-hours, is one of the city’s hottest destinations.
