"Westside" the region incorporates the central LA areas of West Hollywood, Santa Monica and Beverly Hills. However, Westside as the more understated neighborhood in the middle of all this deserves its own mention. This largely residential and suburban area packs an enormous punch when it comes to the provision of culture and the arts, with The Getty, the Franklin D. Murphy Sculpture Garden at UCLA and the Hammer Museum representing three of the city’s world-renowned art institutions. Stay in Westside and you’re in the heart of everything yet far enough removed to not find yourself jostling for space with other visitors to the city. The aforementioned areas of LA are all within a 20-minute drive of Westside, while the contrast of traditional eateries and upscale restaurants give you plenty of options for dining out in the evening.
